The antibiotics should start to help within about 36 hours. In the same situation I've used clove oil, loads of painkillers, hot water bottle and/or ice held against the cheek and alcohol!
Paracetamol and ibuprofen . Take them alternately so that you do not exceed the dose on either of them.
Paracetamol and codeine if you can take it instead of paracetamol (NOT as well, count all the paracetamol you take whether it's stand-alone or in a mixture.)
You could try putting some clove oil on a cotton bud and gently rubbing your gum...or suck a clove if you don't have clove oil.
Hope you feel better soon. Tooth abcesses are miserable.

salt water. Rinse your mouth out several times a day with warm salt water. It works.I cant take any over the counter meds that contain sorbitol which is in almost all of them.
