Just to inform anyone whom are suffering with this ailment "like wot I wuz" a few days ago, I am now feeling 80% better due to `Solpranol tabs` which took the pain away pronto. I had to use two walking sticks to mooch about, but now I walk unaided.

Great news.

Carlon or Sqad - I looked up Solpranol and can't find anything. Does it contain any Codeine and is it an anti inflammmator?. Just wondering if it would help me with pain relief I'm stuck with only using paracetamol at present and some days really need more help.

I can't take anything with Codeine and anti inflammatories cause other problems.

Hi Lofty, Trust me to make a spelling mistake, I meant Solpadol 30/500mg Caplets and you must get them on prescription.

Sorry again, as they do contain Codeine.
LOL Carlton. Thanks. I looked them up and they contain Codeine, so it's a no-go!! Shame.

Glad you are a lot better though :o)

Surely your GP can give you Codeine free painkillers, how about Ibuprofen that sqad always recommends?
Have you tried osteopathy lofty. I've had a bad back for years now,& every so often I go in for a back service. It seems to work.
Yep, I have a good osteopath carrust, but more recently have seen the physio who is based at our medical centre and she has honestly been brilliant. I went through a bad time last autumn/winter/spring but was really helped by ultrasound treatment the physio gave me, plus the excercises and massage. Just recently though things have been a bit iffy again. I fractured a vertebrae a couple of years ago and that really didn't help my poor old back.

Darn, that contains it too. Asprin is supposed to be good, but not for me, being on Warfarin.
Carlton Ibuprufen and other anti inflammatories cause me problems with my IBS. I am falling to bits. I occasionally take muscle relaxants which can help. Asprin is harsh on the tum!!
