Yes, there is a teenage boy I know who has a pair, he thinks they are brilliant.

A friend of my daughter has them and he can be seen quite regularly running up and down the street on them, or somersaulting. He loves them although it's quite scary if you see him and don't realise he's on them cos he's a 6'2" beanpole without them :)

Yes, I had a go on a mates a while ago.
Don't think they are easy to master .. They aren't!
