There seem to be a lot of negative comments about the changes. Myself? I think it is rather shiny and wonderful.

not that bothered really.....
and that's both pages with the same font size set on my computer, Greedyfly. I don't know if they've just configured it wrong for Firefox or what.
I have firefox and it is fine for me.
ok, so it's just me. I'm baffled. Do your pages look much the same as mine only smaller?
Yes normal font size for me. I have no idea why yours are so large =(
=( is right - I hate it. I'm the one who voted for C. Thanks for checking, Greedyfly.
Lol. Maybe it will reset itself?

Hope so.
jno

It is a different font but they are both the same size.

The new font has a very high x height. This means the height of the lowercase letters are very high. On most fonts it is about 60% of the Cap height. The new font looks about 85%.

They have done this to make the type appear bigger and make it easier to read without taking up too much space.
I did wonder if my eyes were deceiving me, Gromit, but I checked by the highly technical method of holding a ruler against my screen. Cap height on a news story is about 3.5mm, on a sports story about 2.1mm. That's just for body text; but it's the size of the headline font that is seriously in my face.
Didn't like it last time they changed, but I got used to it. This time though it is an obvious step for the worse. I hope they have the sense to change it back or to something else easier to read/use; but I won't hold my breath. Too many folk losing face, too much budget spent to admit to failure.
advertising, reported :-)
i usually only use it for sport, it looks the same as before
