they have to gel together as well, the last england friendly I watched they were not fluid, hopefully they will have enough time to get comfortable.

If his key players stay injury free and play to the best of their ability they may make the semi's, not sure if they can get to the final as a lot depends on the other main contenders getting to the last eight i.e Brazil, Argentina, Spain, Italy, Germany etc.

Anyone dare pick a winner at this early stage ?
I have just asked in the Sport section, how on earth does Emile Heskey still get picked for England when he can't get a full time place in the Villa team?
Question Author
He may well not get picked for the final 23 Dodger as in my opinion he does not score enough goals.
Hi,who is Tom Huddlestone, which team he play for ?
Question Author
Huddlestone is in Spurs Midfield but I doubt he will make the final 23
Thanks Redman, i also hope he drops heskey and lampard.
Drop lampard jednbutter, I take it that's a joke??????.
Looks to me like its overloaded with midfielders

Assuming he will take all 3 goalkeepers and dump Bent from the forwards, that means I guess 4 defenders and 6 midfielders will drop out leaving us with 3 keepers, 8 defenders, 8 midfielders and 4 strikers

My predictions not to make the final 23 (assuming Barry is declared fit) are:

Upson
Warnock
Carrick
Huddlestone
Wright-Phillips
Cole
Bent
Lampard is brilliant for chelsea but for England he never performs, it makes sense to take a performer and not a under performer.
Just my view.
Why would he dump Bent and keep Heskey?
Cos England managers all seem to like Heskey - unlike Bent he is not a prolific goalscorer but they think he is good to play alongside others.

My prediction that Bent will be dumped was not a personal choice (I don't rate Heskey either), it was just what I think Capello will do
Joeluke, I'd have Zamora in before Heskey in fact I'd have Mrs.Zamora in before Heskey,if in fact Zamora is married.!!
I think Heskey does some sort of Voodoo on england managers, he must do somthing cos it aint his football.
I think Heskey is as much use as a sponge leg.
IMO Heskey is useless, Zamora or Agbonlahor should be chosen ahead of him, Heskey doesn't even play regularly for his club (a thing which Capello stipulates a player MUST do if he is to be selected)
I wanna play on Cappello's internet game,it sounds good.
I have a feeling Argentina or Ivory Coast are going to win it this time around
Most people will say Spain and Brazil..maybe France..But i like to go away from the flow. :P
