Dear All,

The AnswerBank will be down for an hour this afternoon at 3pm.

I suggest you spend an hour over at Gravatar.com signing up and picking yourself a nice Avatar.

Make sure:

1. Your AB email address is the same as your Gravatar Address
2. That you use a "Clean" Avatar
3. Activate your Avatar by visiting My profile and clicking through to "Edit user details" - there is a tick-box here to enable your Avatar.

There are other features, but I think we will let you figure them out by yourself.

Oh, and if something isn't working for you, try Ctrl-f5 first.

Please post criticism and issues in this thread please. We have done some testing, but we only had around 40 testers - so this is the real test for the new systems! Bear with us, I assume the first few minutes will be "rocky"!

Prob I have is I cant remember my password on my account (had to make a Hotmail one up to get back as Dris long story but Ed helped) and when I click 'Forgot Passord' it says they have sent an email to my hotmail account which I cant access.

So therefore i cant get my Gravatar actived.

Anyone know a way around this??

I can't activate my avatar.
When I go to my "edit user details" it says my avatar is inactive but there is no tick-box for me to activate it.
Any ideas ??

Yes as you can see it worked ...I ticked the "INVISIBLE" box ...problem sorted.

Im still a jelly baby as I havent had tech assistance-not because im a newbie :)

I contacted Ed and they didnt reply -think they are trying to tell me something (that i dont already know)

I cant get an avatar to show - I have followed all the instructions and used control F5 but I just get a line saying my avatar is inactive - a line flashes up under it for a nano second but too fast for me to see what it says - can you help ?

Dris - just create a new mailbox in Gmail (or somewhere like that) and use it just for AB (and gravatar).
