I have this urge to go running, I've never been running in my life before, except at school more than 10 years ago, so not sure where this urge comes from!
Should I go for it? If so, any tips for a 'beginner'?

Thanks!

Wear something suitable as well, eash. Polyester, but breathable. Maybe even a base layer top (Such as Under Armour, Nike Pro etc.)

(I didn't want to put anything gender specific in case I look like a complete pillock)
and a proper bra!

pick a specific route, gradually build up the route as you get more used to it and fitter, remember to drink water and wear running shoes.

my favourite tip is to listen to good music as it can make the run more effortless, something upbeat to keep you motivated
That's funny, I just red this as the repeat of the first episode of Eddie Izzard's marathon man came on. He had no running experience and ran the length of the country - you've not been watching and getting ideas have you? :)

Thanks for all the advice guys, much appreciated.

I went for a 'run' this morning! I say run, it was more like a fast walk with a bit of a jog every so often! I had my sports bra on and my playlist was all dance music to keep me going! And although I had trainers on, they were not running trainers, I will purchase some though after all the advice :-)

I do keep meaning to watch Eddie Izzard's Marathon Man but haven't got round to it yet....
hi eash, do you prefer to run alone or with a group?
