yes ricky was a bit better, but was throughout. no real discernable change or improvement.
i didn't voite, but i wanted chris to win as he got better and better as it went along. its not really about popularity i don;t think, just recognition that he had worked hard and improved, ricky just stayed where he was all along.

Hi Suzie1 You have started a race war. I watch Strictly , Am I an old fashioned middle class snob!! I always thought I was trendy with an open minded opinion. I watch XFactor and and a wide variety of programmes..
mary, i didnt mean to start a race war at all, i just asked a retorical question, i dont know if its true or not, although i dont think it is, i just though whether you people have heard the same or similar, no offence to striclty come dancer viewers

he didn't, someone bumped into this car - probably a pap - so he 'handed himself in' at a police station.

it helps
I recorded X factor, fast forwarded the chit chats, & watched SCD every week. I voted in both. I`m not a middle class snob. I know of a lot of young people who loved SCD & Xfactor & did the same as me.
Technically probably true! But I loved Chris's cheeky humour! That dance of his was brilll!
My view is that Ricky was a better dancer, but he had no passion and that tended to make his dances rather drab while Chris' passion shone through and entertained us all.
I think Ricky was good from day one but Chris has progressed throughout the shows and I think he deserved to win.

Even though Ricky was very good - I do think he put too many lifts and twirls into the routine. Especially last night, just dancing would have been better.
He is employed by the BBC after all, along with previous winners:Tom Chambers,Natasha Kaplinski,Jill Halfpenny and Alesha Dixon. Some coincidence,eh?
Also, how is Alan Deddicoat the voiceover on SCD and The National Lottery show,?must be a very busy man!!

Everhelpful agree Chris had massive support from his BBC colleagues, he did make great progress and was never in the dance off and he had a humourous outlook to it all but Ricky was still a better dancer I don't agree with some posters who think Ricky didn't have the passion, in his interviews he seemed dedicated to the show and Natalie. Still a great show and when these shows are open to the public voting we have to go along with democracy!!
I backed Chris all the way - he made the best progress - Ricky was the best dancer but as was said he didnt have a 'journey' - and Chris and Olas partnership was wonderful to watch and so entertaining. Well done to them !
I voted for Chris for much the same reason as I voted for Tom last year, because he brought more personality to the floor. As Alesha said, Ricky would have been better off doing more dance steps rather than lifts in the final dance, as he was the better dancer.
As for the 'race' card, I voted for Alesha and Mark, and also wanted Colin Jackson to win the year he was in.
I enjoyed Chris and Olas show dance more as there was more content in it - it is a dance competion and lifts and only that is not a dance to me. Having said that Ricky was brilliant !
According to the ever reliable Daily Mail Ricky is now asking to see the number of votes cast.........
Just like to say I have nothing against Chris,he was quite good.
right.. I didn't watch it, okay? lol!

so far as I can see, the judges score on technical issues, the public vote on the entertainment value. the public get the final vote so the most entertaining couple won, I assume.
