Looking at Ipod for my husband and is wondering if there is one that you can fit in the car. Just a holder and something that plays through the car speakers.Hope that makes sense.

There a a couple of ways of doing this. Some car radios have a connection where you ca plug an iPod directly into the car radio. If not then the best way (with least wires) is to clip on an FM transmitter which will send a radio signal to the car radio and you play your ipod like a normal radio station. have a look here for some ideas http://store.apple.co...audio?mco=MTM4MTU4NTQ
If the ipod has a 3.5mm earphone connection then this can be connected to a car radio with an Aux input. This increases the availability of car radios but it does mean that you cannot control the ipod from the radio. I would expect a car radio with ipod connectivity to be able to control the ipod.
also you can buy a cassette from asda around £7 this is an empty one with connections inside it you connect the 3.5 mm lead from it to your ipod or in my case iphone and it plays through that
