My daughter has just rang to ask if there is an official 2 minute silence for the 9/11 or is it just up to the people in shops to hold this out of respect.

I am confused(and not for the first OR last time),but down here in East Sussex I have never come across a 2 minute silence for 9/11.
Am I missing something?
Maybe we should have a 2 minute silence when they "dispose" of the architects/builders of the twin towers,who were as much to blame for their destruction as the terrorists?
