Help needed to open e mail please

Hi I have received an e mail that I cannot open, it is from a valid source via Aol ,I am on Windows XP, it says go into control then systems folder ,which I have done,from there I am totally lost ,could you please explain.

Without any prompting from me, when I now open new dox on MS Word, the cursor appears at the very top of the page, despite there supposedly being a 2.54cm margin! What is it doing now - anybody know?
