Hi all! I'm at my Mother in Law's and she has a problem with her washing machine. When the washing machine has finished, the drawer where the fabric conditioner goes still has the conditioner in it. We have taken the drawer out, cleaned it, checked for blockages etc but it's still not going through.
Anyone got any idea?

Our's also does that, despite cleaning etc.

To get round it, you have to wait until after the soap powder cycle, then add fabric softener into the powder section in the drawer during the rinse phase. Works in our washing machine, fabric softener gets to clothes effectively, though it is annoying as you can miss putting the fabric softener in.

Probably more to do with the pressure of the water that washes the stuff out of the drawer into the machine, rather than stuff physically being able to get out of the drawer. Thinking about it, my Mum uses tablets that go in the main drum, maybe this is for the same reason..?

Not sure if this helps or not!

Thanks for the advice. Will tell her to do that for now, or until we can figure out how to fix it.
Thanks Pigletion x x
Mine use to do that and I had to do the same as pigel..
You need to use a cable tie, or something similar, and clean out the jets above the drawer. A cable tie is flexible to get in the hole but strong enough not to snap in to it.
I use those liquid type tabs that go in the drum with with conditioner stuff "built" into them.
(also saves having to clean out a yucky drawer!)
doesnt happen to be a hoover washing machine?

Tried the cable tie thing. It's not a Hoover, it's an Indecit.
Thanks all for helping x
my washing machine overflow pipe was blocked and had to call people in.advice was once a month run empty cycle on very hot and it clears all pipes out.washing these days are not all run on hot so soap and conditioner congeals in pipes.it works .for me.hope it does for you.
This happened to me. You need to clean out the inside of the drawer where the powder and conditioner goes - top and bottom and sides. Give it all a good wash with very hot water out of the kettle, and use a spray bottle to get into the little jets at the top inside. Could be a bit fiddly. I sprayed some Limescale Remover inside this drawer and left for a while then washed out. with hot water. The jets - where the water comes in - are probably blocked.
