I had to - I was afraid of eating my crusts because I was told they would put hair on my chest. I freaked out once when I accidentally swallowed an apple pip - cos my dad told me an apple tree would now grow in my stomach.

The sooner the harshness of life is understood by noisome irritating little children, the better.
