I think my children think I never had a life as they used to avoid getting involved in some sexy and joke conversations until one day I said to them (BEEN THERE DONE THAT AND PROBABLY KNOW MORE ABOUT IT THAN YOU.) Now they realise I did have a life lol.

Yes wendilla , my son and I can talk and joke about anything and everything :-) xxx
Yes - all my girls are adults, and we converse accordingly.

There are obvious unspoken limits - I never ever use swear words in front of them or they in front of me, but other than that, pretty much anything is up for a chinwag.
Yes, I can joke about anything literally with my boys!!

In fact sometimes I shock them!!!!!
I can talk & joke with my son & daughter, & stepsons, about absoluately anything & everythng - except for MY sex life, cos about that they just don't want to know.....!!
i will have a good joke and giggle with my mum at times, my dad can get a bit embaressed and will leave the room.

My youngest sis will often email me jokes which i then pass to mum cos my sister is too worried about sending them. If she ever does send a joke to my mum that may even jhave a hint of rudeness, she apologises in advance lol
I do think there are limits. After all youre a parent not a mate.

Similarly i think when i see on tv girls in their 20s going out on the pulll with their mum and saying , shes like my best friend!!!

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!

Shes your mother , theres a distinct difference.

? did that help ??
you're right there Leg - mothers & daughters should not go 'out on the pull' together. That's just a bit too weird.
When I read that piece about a year ago on Sarah Duchess of York & one of her daughters saying they "went out on the pull" together - that was just not right somehow....

i remember seeing a bbc3 prog with young mothers

girl 19 with a 1 year old

going out on the pullwith her seperated 40 year old mother who was alll giggly because she pulled a 19 year old!!!

Yes thats britain in the 21st century for ya.
My daughter and I seem to laugh at the same rude stuff......it's nice when you can be relaxed together.
But out on the pull...nahhhhh.....besides, we would both agree that the men here are dire..no matter what age they are!
hi wendilla,
my daughter has always spoke to me about everything and still asks me to take her and her friends to nightclubs etc,( but not "on the pull".)

Thanks all for your replies and no would never dream of going out on the pull with her as would never cope with a toy boy lol lol .
I have a good relationship with my lot and they confide in me and know i am always there for them. Thats what parents are for.
It depends really what the sexy convos were about I guess. If they were about sex in general we're fine (she's nearly 21) but I wouldn't dream of discussing my sex life or trying to discuss hers with her.

I remember when I got pregnant at 16- she was mortified....lol
I joke with my daughter and we constantly email and text jokes back and forth. I wouldn't dream of going on a 'girls' night out with her as we'd probably embarrass each other.
Sorry, i meant when i got pregnant when SHE was 16.
