Hi Folks
Forgive my appearing insensitive, but does anybody else not get the whole 'Jade Goody' thing which you cannot fail to miss given each and every time you switch on the television or turn the pages of a magazine or newspaper you find her and her now husband staring back at you ??!!
By some way of explanation ....
She DIDN'T win Big Brother ....
Her personality & apparent lack of education and common sense became MORE than apparent during her reality tv show about her opening a salon ....
She made racist comments on television and then had the audacity to visit India to declare 'I'm not a racist' ....
Her now husband was featured modelling clothing in a magazine only last week while clutching a photograph of Jade .... are we forgetting something here .... he set about someone with a golf club and is a convicted criminal .... bet the victim of that assault is delighted about the media attention their assailant is getting ....
Despite everything above, these 2 are still being heralded as some kind of folk heroes ....
I can only imagine what other terminal cancer victims are thinking, people who would have made a bigger and much better contribution to society if they'd been given the chance and who are unable to leave their family anything when they die ....
Personally, I think the 'Jade Goody Express' is obscene as is the behaviour of the media who are falling over themselves to give column inches and television time to a convicted criminal and a female who has apparently contributed very little to society ....

personally I would like to go knowing my offspring are left well cared for both spiritually and financially than leave them with an unsure future, that's why I can only pay for life insurance, but if i could make money for them any other way for their future I would certainly persue my options quite vigorously with such a motive

What I'm trying to say is that Jade Goody or her husband should be in the position that they're in at the moment .... media celebrities .....
I'm disgusted at that .... tragic as it is when someone is diagnosed with a terminal illness ....
As Doc Spock says, how much money do they need .... or actually deserve ??!!
Perhaps I'd be more sympathetic if she were a single parent living in a ghetto as opposed to the mansion her family enjoys, as well as her stable of 4x4s and equally flash vehicles .... perhaps she should sell them off to add to the millions she already has ....
Jade Goody does not belong in the media or in any other spotlight .... and neither does her husband ....
The media should have turned their back on her and her entourage long before now !!

I'm not being a monster, but what I am saying is that Jade Goody and her husband should not be where they are now .... media celebrities ....
As I say, he is a convicted criminal and Jade .... well, let's be honest, is pretty talentless ....
Perhaps I'd be more sympathetic if she were a single parent living in a ghetto .... as opposed to the mansion her family enjoys, as well as the stable of 4x4s and other flash vehicles she appears to own ....
As Doc Spock says, she and her husband should not be in the position where she is commanding ANY money from the media or anywhere else for that matter ....
Decent, hardworking people are losing everything when diagnosed with a terminal or even serious illness .... perhaps Mrs Tweedy should have binned the publicist, sold some of her significant assets and scaled down the wedding a tad (I mean, how much did THAT cost ?!).... and then done the decent and respectable thing when she was diagnosed .... and stayed out of the media spotlight ....
Her sons .... well, they could do what us other mere mortals have to .... work ....

Wel my mum is in Sri Lanka and she is dying in her own home with liver, lung and bone cancer. We cant afford a medical evacuation out back to the uk to get treatmen. The doctors out there have basically given up on her. So she is just trying to get the best pain relief. The only blessing that we can hope for is that liver failure will take her as that is painless.
My mum has been a nurse for 45 years and never had a day off sick (not even when she was on intense chemo at an age of 64)
I dont think its fair but what is the point complaining about it? Im happy Jade Goody can get the best treatment and have the best quality life she can. If she is getting loads of money from this its because the public WANT to read about her.
