I have a stainless steel oven and find it really hard to keep mark free on the outside. I've got a stainless steel cleaner (spray) but it's rubbish and leaves marks behind where I've wiped it over with a cloth.

Can anyone recommend a good product to use on it?

Thanks

I have a stainless stell cooker hood and pedal bin and I use golden oil stainless steel cleaner
i know this sounds odd, but it really does work for s/steel,  glass, tiles, shiney worktops etc..  put 1 teaspoon of cornflour in about 2 pints of lukewarm water, stir well ,soak a soft cloth in this solution and apply,  immediately buff off with a dry cloth,, everything is squeeky clean

Hob-Brite

Ceramic & Halogen cleaner I use this to clean my stainless steel  cooker it works wellfor the glass on the oven door to remove stains

I have used a stainless steel cleaner also and it's rubbish. However I think I have found the answer. It's not a cleaning product as such, it's a pair of cleanng cloths. I got them from John Lewis and they are called "e cloths". They are a bit expensive at approx. 7 but they work and on any surface (stainless steel, glass, mirrors etc.). The principle is simple - wet one and wipe over (you can use cleaning products first if the surface is badly stained). Then buff with the other. Believe me they work, I thought they were a rip pff but they are not.

simply use a well squeezed out mock shammy leather.
After you've cleaned it, wipe over with a soft, dry cloth with a bit of olive or veg oil on it - the marks will disappear and it will stay smudge free for longer.
Baby oil works well too.
I totally agree Baby Oil is brilliant ! Once you have cleaned the stainless Steel, just wipe it over with Baby Oil.

Thanks for the tips. I've got a few things to try now!
I always use Barkeeper's Friend which you can get in places like Robert Dyas. If you rinse it well it polishes up really well with a tea towel.
