Would you eat Squirrel Tigger?
I'd eat squirrel - I eat other meats such as rabbit without problem
I've eaten squirrel and very tasty it was too!

There was a TV programme on last year where a couple toured the UK looking for food for free and she served up squirrel. I live in the sticks so obtaining one was easy.
It's a slightly gamey taste but very lean & healthy.
As long as its an animal that doesn't eat other animals then I would try it. Mind you I have eaten crocodile before.

I wonder if it has a nutty flavour - and if so many of us would eat it could this be an answer to the rat problem in our cities - no joking!!

Smokey Bacon Rat, Salt and Vinegar Rat, Rat and Baked beans.??
Ratatouille?
Pigeon is popular but I wouldn't want to eat the nasty scavenger ones in the cities. Rats with wings.
Ratovan (sp).

Don't forget to set them in the trees otherwise you may end up trapping other fauna like Mr Tiddles from down the road!

When I was a kid in the fifties my sisters and I would visit our Grannie who would feed us all sorts of things which today would be classed as non-pc, such as rook pie, squirrel stew in fact anything Gramps who had a bit of a reputation as a poacher, brought home. She used to make terrific pies, jams etc all with stuff that was growing wild or Gramps had caught, it never did us any harm and always seemed to taste great
Yes I would eat squirrel - I'll try anything once! I love rabbit and when I was a child (many years ago!), I can remember my mum making pigeon pie and it was delicious.
road kill is very popular in this neck of the woods. Hedgehog is a personal favourite of mine.

Mmmmm scrumptous.
