I went to post about 20 huge A4 sized letters that where quite bulky and about 10 other small letters, these were already stamped correctly etc. When I got to the post box the postman was there emptying it so I past him the post and he asked if it was stamped or not and I said yes. As I got back in the car I watched as he failed to put my letters in the postbag with the other mail he had just removed for the box, he went to the back of the van placed the bag in the back and still failed to put them in, then he closed the door and took my mail into the front of the van with him??

Why would he do this?

he hates you?
probably going through every one of them to see if you were telling the truth about them being stamped....all the time keeping you in his sights in case you were fibbing....so he could chase after you.

lol runs away giggling ha haaa got you mr postie lol

They are actually legal documents and they have to arrive or I will be in trouble, some of the small one were prob chq's as well, I will be somewhat angry if these go missing, as the A4 packs cost alot of money just to produce, printing etc.
Because you didn`t actually post them into the box they are not actually Royal Mails responsibility, the postman can do what he likes with them
they'll be alright dont worry, you know who he is so dont worry.
Question Author
Yes I do know what day and time he was there collecting so if they go missing I can tell royal mail and they can trace him, plus I'll kick his asd next time I see him and hit him with my hand bag lol

lol Probably end up getting arrested and get an asbo while down the road theres a robbery and an assault taking place.
hiya, if you want to absolutely ensure they get them, you should have sent them signed for i suppose. Perhaps the postie will hand them in directly to the sorting office - too big to go in his bag?
Question Author
thats true bedknobs they might have been too big
If the A4 bulky envelopes weren't stamped with the right amount amount of postage they are probably sitting in your local sorting office waiting to be surcharged. If it's any consolation the vast majority of Royal Mail employees are bamboozled by Pricing by size/
Question Author
thanks postman, they def had the right postage and if we are ever in doubt we overpay, maybe 'he' didnt know what they should be stamped with?
It's because the large letters or "flats" are sorted separately to the normal size letters at the sorting office. he probably just kept them separate to save him some time later on.
Question Author
ahhhhhh ok thanks Sas
Why don't you just ask him why he did this next time you see him?
Will you be able to find out today if your letters have been delivered ok??

I am intrigued now.... the tale of the missing letters... what happened in the end ?
Question Author
Sorry guys been out of the office for a good few days.

The letters did get there because I got a call from someone who got one so that answered 'did they get posted properly' but why he took them in the cab ???

Maybe he had a letter fetish and wanted to sniff them, brill job for a letter fetish or maybe it's a stamp fetish "oh baby a extra large 1st class"
