Anybody tried an iRecorder?

I have seen these gadgets on the Iwantoneofthose web site and i am curious as to whether anyone has used one, or knows someone who has etc And wehther they are any good basically.

Although I don't have one of those, I do have an Archos 605 with a tv docking station - so I can do the same thing.

the device you have shown doesn't look like it will change channel, so you would have to watch whatever you are recording - which in my opinion makes it pointless (unless you want to record daytime tv rubbish when you are out or stuff that is on in the wee small hours).

Be aware that if you have sky plus, you can't get the box to change channels automatically as you can with a normal sky box.

Probably only useful if you have a slingbox

But if i wanted to record from the freeview upstairs whilst i watched sky downstairs or vice versa then i guess it'd be ok....Its just i already have an iPod so would be cheaper than buying an Archos device with tv docking station which are extra i believe......(though they have a much better screen size).

Yes, would be fine as you suggested - but remember it can't change channels - I am not sure if your freeview box will change automatically.
