Where does the apostrophe come when referring to a partners desk? Is it partner's desk or partners' desk?

Partner's desk.
.. . unless of course, if a number of partners have a large desk between them, in which case it will be partners' desk . . .

I think you're talking about the style of furniture with that name as opposed to a desk belonging to one or more partners - in which case it's usually just 'partners desk', the word 'partners' here being used adjectivally. Although partners' desk wouldn't be wrong.
