can some one please confirm im right or wrong one of my employees who has left has questioned the week in hand, she did work a week in hand but has now left and is saying she is still owed, she has always been paid for the following weeks work, this year she was of sick in wk 3 but got paid her wages for wk 2 at the end of wk 3 and was then off sick untill she left she was not entitled to sick pay.

If she didn't work Wk 3 and she received her wages for Wk 2 then I don't see how she can be owed anything.
Except she should have statutory sick pay (which you can reclaim through a reduction in your NI payments to HMRC).

She is entitled to SSP from you as the employer. She would not be paid for the first 3 days (waiting days) - you will owe her 2 days SSP for the first week, and 5 dayss SSP for every week she was off on sick leave.
