I have a Bosch dishwasher (i dont know the model) it has a symbol near the buttons, the symbol is 2 vertical lines with an arrow pointing to the right between them in the middle. There is a light next to it which lights up when i turn the dishwasher on but it wont start. I have tried every possible means of trying to rid the light from r-arranging the load to completly emptying it but to no avail. I dont have the manual because i lost it and i NEED to get the dishes done! Can someone please please please tell me what this symbol means as i REALLY do not want to put on marigolds! Thank you!

Your model number is on a plate on the right hand edge of the door, visible when open. I expect that either you have inadvertantly set the timer function, or that there is a fault with the door interlock. The symbol you describe sounds like the "sanitise" display.

Here is a link to a manual covering a number of models. Yours might not be in this publication, in which case I suggest a trip to the Bosch Website, or call in to a qualified Bosch service agent.

You also posted this question in "Internet & Technology" where I have replied. I think that you need the model number, though.
