As a single parent, where shall I go this Easter with son aged 6. We have done Butlins, all of London, Weymouth, South East. ,my budget rules out going abroad. I have tried joining Single Parents clubs but I couldnt escape when I wanted to. It does not have to be the whole weekend just a couple of nights. Somewhere for pleasure or education.

why not stay on a farm b and b in cornwall?
we went two years ago and had a great time
Assuming you're not doing a disco & the ex don't want him that weekend, why not go to, Battersea Park Zoo Easter egg hunt, Cadbury factory tour in Birmingham, or check this out http://www.londontown.com/London_for_Families. pdf
How about a visit to Hampshire, there is loads to do and see, From walks in the New Forest, watching wild ponies, with loads of space to run around (son not ponies!). to a visit to the historic dockyard in Portsmouth to see HMS Victory, and many other attractions including harbour tours for about 3.00. Visit historic Winchester, the villages in the Meon Valley,or even the Isle of Weight. Southmpton is great for shopping (particularly West Quay, as is Gun Wharf In Portsmouth)

And best of all its not too expensive, B&'B in Portsmouth (well Southsea's better), Static Caravans on Hayling Island, and in the New Forest, and the Isle of Weight (dont forget to take into acount the Ferry fare). Ther eare loads of musums etc in the area. More than enough to do for a long weekend.
Holiday Inn does a really good package with Legoland,Windsor. There are 150 acres of beautiful parkland and 50 rides. If you go look out for the digger challenge every little boys dream. There are lots of offers at present on the web so loads to choose from.Wherever you decide to go I hope you both have a super time.
How about center parcs? The pool complex is great fun for all ages .
