Does anyone do it? I'm looking for something to do for the odd hour per day with no (or little) initial outlay and after Goggling for ages all I've seemed to come across is adverts for companies promising me fantastic amounts of money per month without implying what the jobs entail, obviously I'm not so stupid to fall for these possible scams.

I'm just looking for a simple job that can be done at home for a (small?) salary/wage.

any ideas???

Thank you for that LazyGun :-)

I work for Betterware. They ask for 8 hours a week. I do about 12 and average 50 per week.

There's no outlay - everything is supplied.

Go to Betterware.co.uk. if you're interested.

I am an Avon Rep and Team Leader which is mainly from home, in the hours you choose etc. No minimum amount of hours, totally up to you. It is 15 pounds to become a representative for your initial training and stationery. Take a look at www.avongirlz.com for more info and good luck x

I fell for one one these, they are basically a pyramid scheme. You pay for a directory of adresses to post out leaflets who then post out leaflets of their own.

at some point of this process people are supposed to send you money or something of the sort. the only people that end up loaded are the people you pay the initial outlay to.

It is not illegal what they are doing just wrong.

The best thing you can do if you are still interested but unsure is find out the name of the company and enquire at trading standards. They won' be able to tell you alot about the company but they will have it on record whether there have been any complaints about them. I looked into doing some work from home but the decent ones like inserting envolopes and making christmas decorations etc... don't usually pay alot. if you are interested in them you could try the job center, they may be able to put you in touch with such companies.

I hope you find what you are looking for.

Good luck

Consider mystery shopping - but don't pay to join a site. Try www.cybershoppers.nop.co.uk, www.gapbuster.co.uk, www.grassroots.co.uk and www.retaileyes.co.uk for a few ideas as to whether it would suit you. If you like the look of it, google it and it will locate more companies for you. Not major money to be earned but it is very flexible and the more you are a member of (and the more time you have) the more you can make.

If you enjoy doing surveys you can have a look at www.yougov.co.uk, www.ciao.co.uk and www.lightspeedsurvey.co.uk - these will not make you much quickly but there is the opportunity to win more money (I won 250 on lightspeed a week or so before Xmas a couple of years ago and have won a number of 10 so it can happen!!).

I'm also an Avon Rep and Team Leader and can highly recommend it. After the first few months of building your customer base and team of reps., the money just grows. You can work as little or as hard as you want, but don't forget - the more you put in, the more you get out of it.

Good luck
