Apart from being ripped off, that you are ordering from a restaurant, how can these containers have the proper hygiene etc, and what happens if you are not happy with the food, can you send it back to the kitchen/container?

There are 2 near me, one a Pizza & the other an Indian on a industrial estate, sharing the same premises, and locals are complaining about the noise of motorbikes, and I only live in a small town.

Is this question about cooking or about deliveries? It's a bit confusing.
ummmm . look at my post at 22.17.

Eddie @ 21:31 you asked
///I don't understand your reference to motorbike noise or how it relates to the question///
I answered your question @ 21:43, it is not my fault if it is beyond your comprehension, ok?
Baldric and Eddie...give it a rest!
Re the quality and can you complain/refuse/return - yes you can.

As stated the premises must have been passed to prepare food.

The best thing these Restaurants can do is to state if you are x miles from their premises your food may come from a satellite kitchen.

Concerning noise from an industrial estate then the residents can try complaining.

Rarely have a takeaway these days.
If we want an Indian takeaway, it is only a three minute walk to a lovely restaurant. So I just go in and order, then wait and bring it home.

The best Chinese takeaway is about five minutes drive away, so I phone the order through and then OH goes and picks it up.

Where I used work, I walked past some industrial looking buildings. They were where takeaway food was cooked, the smell was awful.
jourdain, I already do but there is a limit to how many home cooked meals my freezer can accommodate
At least you are cooking for two
Don't drive
No restaurants on my doorstep
No intention of walking for 20 minutes in the dark and 20 minutes back (darker) to buy a meal I could order from home
If you know the food is coming from a container and you're not happy about - don't use it. My eldest son was once on a residential school trip where him and his friends were being 'starved' and himself took them some pizzas which he had to collect in a car park. We've had an Indian tonight which himself went and collected as they charge an arm and a leg to deliver because we don't live in the city limits.
When we lived in Surrey (St John's) There was a wonderful Indian takeaway in a big garden shed just over the road from us. It looked like nothing on earth from the outside but spotless inside and the food was wonderful. We would order by phone then one of us would lay the table while the other popped over for the food.
I can’t find the report now but some time ago I read that a celeb chef who has several restaurants uses a central kitchen to cook and prepare a lot of the food so that he can be sure the quality and standard is the same in all the restaurants.
The food is simply reheated in the restaurant. I would be miffed if I were paying top buck for that.
This set up is no different
Well I guess that's Darren Ridley out of a job
I could never lose the will to cook.

Tonight I'm having Goose wrapped in gold, followed by Wagyu beef with horseradish air.

:-)
But at least you're not being pretentious about it nom eh!!
jeeze NoM- bit posh innit?

we're on chicken and potato waffles.
Homemade (yes homemade) cheese and onion quiche for me ...
I do hope Islay and her alter ego aren't crippled with jealously over my gourmet dinner or any other aspect of my life...

B00 - we're actually having something out of the freezer.
I haven't had a potato waffle since early teens, a dollop of brown sauce was the perfect accompaniment
NoM forgot to mention that she got the recipes from me......hope they turn out well for you, NoM..... ;-))
