The theme is "Seasonal Christmas" I am 6 clues short.
1".Subject pronoun from across the water - then work it out almost (5)"
2."Nine comes next - how sweet (6)"
3. "Introduce alpha twenty five to a backward drunken fool (4)" (The answer to clue 25 is mince pies but not sure if that is relevant)
4."A complete product or service with no direction (6)"
5.Settle down after a rag riot (7)"
6."Possibly include a confused noise confused (8)".
Any help much appreciated!

cashier I know how I got Midnight but fitting it to theme is what I meant.
Question Author
Well done again cashier and to you elliemay1. Very happy with midnight now. Possibly is might and anagram of din in the middle. Excellent. Just one to go now "Nine comes next - how sweet (6) Can't parse trifle which somebody suggested.
Question Author
Midnight mass!
Maxy have you got an answer for 5 - I have one if not
sorry that should be 2 not 5
Question Author
Hi Davemano. That is the only one I have left so please put me out of my misery!
Ninth letter is 'I' - something that comes next .Rises'
There are Christmas Irises.
Question Author
Not 100% happy with Irises because a bit like my topiary they are not specific to Christmas whereas all the other 49 answers are. However the fact that i is the ninth letter might help another answer.
The Tall Bearded Iris is called the Christmas Iris because that is when it is available.
Question Author
I didn't know that. However where does "how sweet"come into it!
Question Author
I wonder if it could be infant which would parse with how sweet but I can't parse the rest of it!
Wouldn't 'how sweet' be How pleasant to look at.
Question Author
It could be Davemano - you are certainly making a case for irises but somehow I am doubtful if you would say "how sweet" to a tall bearded iris. Sorry to rain on your parade and I will certainly put that in if I can't think of anything better!
It look like Father Christmas facial features.
Question Author
Will definitely think on! Thanks for all your input.
