On Radio 4 Any Questions a successful businessman said that after Britex the entire world would be our oyster, or words to that effect.
Is that not the case now? Are our captains of industry shackled, like some Gulliver enmeshed by Lilliputians, by the EU?

I think that's a bit like sacking someone and saying 'well, you've now got the freedom to be employed anywhere you want'.

Poorly thought out argument by the businessman.
No it's not the case now. The EU members act as a trading block and are restricted on making trade deals with outsiders. You must be aware of the refusal to allow us to sign external trade agreements before Brexit occurs.
