Can you learn a lesson from observing the ant? ( proverbs 6:6)

Well ants work hard by instinct. In fact, some ants are observed blindly following the trail that others left behind. They end up running in a circle, round and round, until they fall and die.

Atheists are running in a circle, always busy but never getting anywhere? If so, it is time to examine the purpose of your assess the true value of your goals. Remember King Solomon’s wise counsel: Ecclesiastes 12:13
No....

Ah, now we get down to it goodlife.

In your previous post, you advise it is 'just a matter of what you believe ... ' which is a refreshingly honest perspective

But of course, you are unable to sustain it for long!

You are soon back to looking down on anyone who doesn't share your view as a 'true Christian'.

For the record, I am not running in a circle at all - I am on a straight line which started with my birth, and which will end with my death - ironically the same path as you, and the rest of us are on.

The difference between us is, I will have enjoyed a far happier time on earth, because I spent time deeply loving my family and friends, and getting as much as possible out of every single day.

I did not waste it fretting about a God who clearly does not love or care about me, and looking down my nose at anyone who is beneath me - which is everyone who doesn't have my inbuilt sense of superiority.

I know who is going to be happier looking back on life when the end comes - and I won't be fretting about 'going on' either!
Goodlife, // it is time to examine the purpose of your assess the true value of your goals.//

I did that a long time ago. I've achieved my goals and I'm happily aware of their value.

What I say is this,Instead of crawling into a hole like cave men in fear of the world’s end, the witnesses of Jehovah have come right out into the open and are most outstanding among the people of all world.
Everywhere because of their fearless witness the poeple of this world are unable to overlook and ignore their activity.
Some Irritated by this activity, they complain , all right, but they withdraw their active support from the systems of this world, and have no encouraging word of hope to say for them. On this account they complain that Jehovah’s witnesses hate mankind.

The exact time of the coming end of this “system of things” has not been revealed to us, “the sign” that Jesus gave would let us know when we are in the time period known as “the last days.” (2 Timothy 3-1:6)
This involves more than merely having facts, which many atheists think they have; because philosophies and views exist that are “falsely called ‘knowledge.

Now about being Happy, “I have come to know that there is nothing better for them than to rejoice and to do good during one’s life; and also that every man should eat and indeed drink and see good for all his hard work. It is the gift of God.”—Eccl. 3:12, 13

However, you may find it hard to believe that someone who is persecuted and reproached could be happy. Yet, it must be true, since Jesus himself said so. Hence, how should his words be understood?(Matthew 5:10, 11)
We don't. Its you that have to provide proof that he does.

For instance, if I were to go into work one day and declare that I had seen a Unicorn, it would be up to me to prove that they exist and that I had seen one.....rather than everybody else having to explain why they don't exist.

Its not rocket science, is it ?
goodlife - // What I say is this,Instead of crawling into a hole like cave men in fear of the world’s end, the witnesses of Jehovah have come right out into the open and are most outstanding among the people of all world. //

If they are the most 'outstanding' - why are there only 8.13 million of them on the planet, which has a population of 7.5 billion?

I failed maths O-Level three times, but even I can see that the number who are busy being 'outstanding' have got a considerable way to go to be even a fraction of a meaningful proportion of the population.

You are as deluded as you are unaccepting goodlife - but you are consistant - I havr to give you that.
Still too many, Andy.
Remember, there's only room for 144,000.
" and are most outstanding among the people of all world. "
goodlife, have you ever heard the expression, Self praise is no recommendation ?
AZardoz, the rest are going to inherit a Utopian earth peopled only by, as Goodlife so modestly describes them, “the most outstanding among the people of all world” - Jehovah’s Witnesses. Goodlife seems to think we should find this offer irresistible, but who’d really want to spend eternity with people like that? Dead will do for me.
And me!

I have stated many times that one of my major issues with Christianity - is Christians.

This insufferable 'I've got something you need, and I'm happy and you're not, and I'm going to heaven and you're not ...' is something I avoid at all costs - so the notion of spending eternity with a bunch of inward-staring pumped up egotists would fill me with dread.

Fortunately, it won't happen, so I don't worry about it.

Yeh it won't happen, so I don't worry about it.

The first point is that Jehovah does not view time as we do. To the One who lives forever, a thousand years are as one day. He is not
restrained or pressured by your time, but he is not be slow in acting.
(2 Peter 3:8, 9)

That all for now folks, bye bye.
here we go, copy and paste, yawn....

follow-up too, goodlife, how under-impressive. Got your beanies or pay-off from the Watchtower this week?

Goodlife, //Yeh it won't happen, so I don't worry about it. //

You're kidding yourself that you're something special but it will happen. You'll die eventually - just like the rest of us. That's life.
can you see him / can you hear him ? Can you taste him ?
can you smell him ? can you touch him ? WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT ? FIVE NOs
So radio waves don't exist then......
Of course they do - when you turn on a radio reciever you can detect them .
But what about your thoughts ?.....What about my thoughts ?....
They can't be detected . Does that mean that they don't exist ?
Have a good think about whether or not something hasn't been detected YET , means that it doesn't exist .
