What's tickling your tastebuds this weekend?

I'm meant to be going out with a colleague tomorrow night for a curry, though she does have a habit of cancelling last minute. I might make a spicy carrot, sweet potato and lentil soup as a back-up.

Sunday will consist of a roast dinner - either leg of lamb or belly pork but the latter would be my choice - with a surfeit of vegetables, crispy roasties and lashings of thick, homemade gravy. If I get my choice, we'll have homemade sausagemeat, apricot and almond stuffing to accompany.

I may have a small glass of wine. I note the Yellow Tail Range is on offer in Tesco and I am particularly fond of the Malbec in that range.

So ... what will tickle (or napalm) your tastebuds this weekend?

I am not a kebab fan, generally speaking.

However, I do understand where some detractors are coming from

Maybe if it was sat on a smear of mushy peas it would look and taste better. Have to say I'd prefer it a la mamy, on a dollop with plenty of pea wet.
Tonight they are having sausage and chips (chips from the chippy), tomorrow they're having slow cooked gammon, potatoes and vegetable and Sunday they're having doorstep BLT's with added turkey (I'm having cauliflower cheese and smoked bacon chops, slow cooked gammon sarnies and I'll have BLT on Sunday). Dessert tonight is a selection of chocolate eclairs, apple turnovers, vanilla cheesecake (that's mine) and/or peaches (boy #2 will have tangafastics).
Lol Eth :-)

A proper lamb shish is lovely. Our local kebab shop does it so well. They ask how you'd like you lamb cooked...and serve it with griddled veg and salad.

And chips..

Never had a doner kebab.
