Well I Never Knew That, Did You?

Just watched a bit of 'Flog it', and they were in the Leeds musical original variety hall, from where the good old days tv series was filmed, and the oldest in the UK.

When the Chairman/compare, who used to sit at a table, to the right off stage, shouted, 'Order, Order', it wasn't for the audience to be quiet, it was for them to order more drinks, or the next act wouldn't come on!

Anybody know any interesting 'I never knew that?'
