Hubby happened to mention that I was off to see the surgeon again this week due to my rather large protuding hernia, MIL's response was to tell him that he let me away with too much and I should stop making a fuss.

Apparently had I had children then I would be too busy to think of myself she then went on to say that I was now too old and had he considered getting a younger wife!!!
Seriously that woman is a pain (can't print what I really want to call her)!!!

On that basis, she will lose out. I'd probably go for Plan C and agree with everything she says and smile sweetly at her and be awfully nice and attentive and ignore her rudeness. That drives people like her insane.
