In their latest interview about the loss of their mum, Prince William and Harry blame the paparazzi for taking photos of Di in the crashed car rather than helping her. I wonder if that's the explanation they were given at the time, rather than the drunk driver going too fast....or Di being deliberately bumped off. Do you think it was an accident or murder?

You could be forgiven for thinking she's happy;-)
oh come on
everyone knows it was MI5 and the Duke of Edinburgh who regarded Dodi as a geasy levantine on the make
yep PP cuts to the chase once more!
I think the princes, perfectly reasonably, think that taking pictures rather than trying to help is something photographers should be blamed for, but I am sure they understand that no help would have saved their mother, but they don't excuse people who put their bank balances before simple human decency.
I firmly believe her death was a welcome relief for the firm.

I feel that might be seriously over-simplifying a very difficult and complex situation. There may have been people in the RF, and the wider court, who could see that the absence of the Princess would make life easier, but that's not to suggest that they either wanted her dead, or were relived when she was.
"that the absence of the Princess would make life easier"

More or less what I implied, surely.
are bad jokes allowed yet on here, after 20 years.....? Queen Mum and Di joke....

Pretty sick P-Eye cover this coming week, I have it here but not yet showing on line.

Yes it is - I simply added the perspective that it's just not as as simple as that.

My in-laws are both taking up a lot of time and effort with their health problems. When they die, will my life instantly become easier? Yes it will, but that's not to say I will be 'relieved' when they go, or that I would wish it to happen.

That's the point I am making.

Not seen it, but I know that PE always sail close to the wind - one man's 'sick' is another man's satire.
bit like the moon landing conspiracy, and that the royal families of europe are lizards, car accident.......get over it
I've got PE here, it will raise eyebrows and threats to cancel subscriptions etc etc but I still recall their edition a week after the crash. They got all the stories about her that were pulled from the Sundays because of her death to make way for the wall to wall wail-fest. Every story was critical of her rackety lifestyle but suddenly she was a saint. Roll on 1st September. It wasn't murder, but the Phoney Pharaoh needed to divert attention from the facts that his employee was drunk and his son made the bad decision to allow him to drive them.
How on earth are any of us qualified to judge?
I can't stand Camilla and I couldn't care less if she's better for Charles than poor Diana was, that wasn't Di's fault and she truly loved old jug ears even though he didn't deserve it. She's dead because of those two and nothing will change my opinion of that and yes I was one of the many upset at her passing and whether I knew her personally or not is irrelevant to me. I like Wills, Harry, Kate and the kiddies now and if anything happened to them before their time, it would be upsetting to me. It's just the same as people coming on here RIPing celebs who die.

What on earth had Charles and Camilla to do with the death of Diana ?

What evidence do you have that the accident was due to anything other than the excessive speed and reckless manner in which the Mercedes was being driven, and that Diana wasn't wearing a seat belt ?

For the very last time .........Diana died because the car she was in, crashed at high speed.

I don't think even you believed the above did you, mikey?
I've seen the Private Eye cover, fairly typical for them.
Because mikey, even though it's obvious, I will explain! If Charles had loved her as she loved him and didn't keep hankering after the vile Camilla, Di and Charles would have stayed together, maybe had more kids and she wouldn't have been on holiday with Dodi and wouldn't have died! Satisfied mikey? Probably not knowing you ...
How do you know how much she loved him?

That's quite a list of supposed connections there.

From what I can see - and we can never know - I don't think Charles really wanted Diana, but tried to make the best of a bad situation as is the royal tradition.
