I have lost the use of the pound sign when I press the 4th key from the left on the second from top line on my 5 year old Dell laptop.
When I press it I get the # sign.
Dell wold fix it for me but I would have to send it back and they would charge me a fortune.
I use my computer every day as I am a housebound OAP and cannot do without it for more than 24 hours.
Has anybody any experience of this problem and how was it fixed, please?

Go into Control Panel/Clock, language and Regions/

Select UK for Region and UK Keyboard
