Does anyone else keep getting their AB screen hikacked by this message and the page revelrygifts.stream I have to close it and then log back into AB. The normal malware /Avast checks show nothing amiss with my laptop. Then it happened on my phone.
Only happens when I go on AB. Even activating the unmentionable blocking software doesn't stop this hijacking.
Has anyone else had this over the last few days?

There's a thread on here about it happening on the Samsung phone FF.

I remember the Ed asking for any info about the web site which hi-jacks samsung phone, I'm hopeful your info will be of help to her and the team
Frequently but never on AB ....usually when hunting for crossword clues ....very annoying
Never been a problem on the laptop but it does happen to my phone all the time if I browse AB. So yes, not just you.
Never had that one.

Thanks all. Yes, first happened on my samsung phone last week but for the last couple of days has happened once on my ipad and then several times on my laptop. It actually replaces the AB page and the back buttons won't take me back to AB so I have to close it down then open a new AB tab.I'll have another try at running Malwarebytes to see if that helps
Question Author
Still keep getting kicked out of AnswerBank (but never from the other sites I use a lot) by this popup advert. I have set my laptop to block popups and don't otherwise have any issues.. Avast and Malwarebytes premium services say by laptop is fine

This is the page that comes up.

What ? So nobody fancies a free iphone / playstation / Galaxy ?
are you a faithful BSB user?
Question Author
Not particularly faithful. I watch some games on Sky Sports 1 in the football season and I tried to sign up for the Sky Fantasy football league if that counts
Yes!
I imagine that by "faithful" they mean "haven't actually left"
Question Author
I did start to follow the process to claim my prize but as they kept asking for more and more info and explained the monthly charge for the 'free' phone I gave up before getting onto the admin /processing fee and delivery charge
Thanks FF, I have blocked these URLs, let me know if you see anything else.
Question Author
Thanks. But what looked like the same one or very similar just popped up again but this time it didn't kick me out of AB- I was just able to use side arrow and get back to teh AB page
Question Author
Just been kicked out of AB again.
Now seems to be this

I'm getting a bit fed up of these now and have just taken an hour or so away from AB.
Avast and malwarebytes say there is no problem.
It's definitely an ad that loads up while I'm in AB and it takes obver my AB session.
Here is the sequence of screens from my AB session- this seems to show the ad source

What Party Do You Trust To Cut Immigration? in The AnswerBank: Newswww.theanswerbank.co.uk
FF, yes, it is a rogue ad. Do keep reporting them if you see any others, and I'll get rid. I've removed the http:// part from your links so that they're not clickable anymore just in case anyone clicks on them.
yes I am getting it regularly ( about once a week over the last two months)

I use ESET and yes there is nothing awry with it
(it blocks the 'update Chrome' malware)

and yes I worry that a key-strike trojan has been installed without my knowledge - but I dont do internet banking having been cloned anyway
Question Author
Thanks Ed and PP and all who commented. Glad it's not just me (or does that not sound very nice)
