Is Office 365 worth sixty quid a year?

What are the supposed benefits?

Any compatability issues with Word and Excel - which I use most?

Thanks

Personally speaking I hate the idea of renting my software. I want what's mine, bought & paid for, to be mine. So I've never contemplated 365. Plenty of free options around anyway.

Thanks OG, that's my gut feeling as well......
Try Open Office. Totally free to download and is perfectly compatible with Microsoft Office. All you need to do is make sure you save your work in Microsoft format.

How do you mean save in a Microsoft format - Word with a .doc extension or excel in .xls? Does Office 365 or Open offer publishing facilities and, if so, a comparison?

Thanks though, Jackdaw
When you click Save As you get a drop-down menu asking you to choose a format. I save as Microsoft 95 .doc. Don't know about spreadsheets as I never use them but I expect it will be similar.
