my bro-in-law had his wallet stolen at work today, management have been quite helpful and lent him money to get home etc, they also rang credit card co to stop any transactions. Yesterday Monday he bought a months travel card for around £180 by credit card , if the credit card acknowledge the payment what can he do to get a duplicate travel/oyster card issued how does he go about this please ?
grateful for any advice, his wages are not great and he cannot afford to just write this off. Unfortunatey the receipt for the payment made was in the stolen wallet.

Speak credit card co.
if the credit card acknowledge the payment Then his Oyster card will be issued, surely? Why not just call them and ask?

sorry to be so naïve are you saying phone Oyster card, how do we do this pls ? how do I get their phone number, what if the thief is using the oyster card ? or sold it on ?
If your brother bought the travel card on Monday before the theft I'm not sure why the card wouldn't work, but he can check with Oyster.
But as you fear the thief may be using his oyster card I'm wondering whether you mean his card was in the wallet.
I hope the wallet is recovered. In my experience I think there is a good chance the wallet was mislaid/dropped at work rather than stolen.
