Surely his diet should be rancid water, mouldy bread and watery gruel?

Charles Bronson, now known as Charles Salvador, revealed his food wishlist
Britain's most violent prisoner has revealed the gut-busting menu he wants to enjoy if he is released from jail.

What's the story with the repeats, people?
Question Author
Aah wishlist i see.

"He now claims to be a 'changed man' and has passed a number of Violence Reduction courses in jail - and is in talks with solicitors about appealing his life sentence."

Is there anyway the public can do anything about this as he's clearly a dangerous fellow and if he tried moving to my mews there would definitely be action in the form of a petition to see him out of there pronto!

Does anyone know whether he'd be given a new identity or whether his new neighbors would be given a warning that he was moving near by as it happens with sex offenders?
Well he's not a sex offender so why would you get prior notice?
He has not been released from prison and would have to go through the correct procedures first.

Sorry i've mislaid my specs.

Why is this waste of oxygens wishlist in a national paper? Surely the the reporter should be sacked for this alarming non story.
Someone's been hoist by their own petard. :)
Why should the journalist be sacked? He got some readers' attention despite publishing a non-story. Sounds like great journalistic skill to me.
If you read it properly ie beyond the first 2 lines you would see that it quite clearly states what it is - so nothing to be alarmed about!

Please, stop digging, you're starting to look silly.
//Why is this waste of oxygens wishlist in a national paper? //

Because the DM can make an alarming headline out of it and get angry people to share the article without reading it.
Who Douglas?
it's the DM, must be true!

Having spent some 41 years behind bars Charles Bronson, now known as Charles Salvador, has drawn up his food wishlist///

Tbh, I can't see what was so hard to understand, it was right at the top of the Link.

So perhaps his diet IS rancid water, mouldy bread and watery gruel after all !!

Smugness, it's not a nice trait.

We can only hope heriam but if he can do 2000 pressups, they must be feeding him good.
Quangoid - // Why is this waste of oxygens wishlist in a national paper? Surely the the reporter should be sacked for this alarming non story. //

Because your newspaper of choice does this kind of thing to create exactly the reaction you have given us - to get all het up about something which is not actually happening.

Now that you know his `list`is not real, you are turning your ire on the journalist who has simply provided you with a few degrees of higher blood pressure, in common with your fellow readers.

Before you turn your attention to the prospect of the prisoner being freed, and getting all het up again about that - remember that he is `considering an appeal' - that means he is thinking about it, not that it is happening tomorrow, and he will be occupying the flat next door to you by the weekend.

You really need to a) calm down and b) read what is in front of you, not what makes you leap to the biggest anger-provoking conclusion.

Neither is spitting poison based on fiction - but we`re all human.
I wish you would explain why you consider him to be a "verminous waste of space".
Then we might be better able to answer why he is "allowed to eat".
If "the system" insists on incarcerating an individual for over forty years, the least it can do is provide that individual with a reasonable choice of diet. Regardless of what he has done, he is a human being.
What do you want, that he should be thrown in a pit, and left to starve to death?
