how much would it cost? I went to see ELO a couple of weeks ago - there were about 80k people there - if they all paid £50 say, that;s 4 million pounds. How much would the band got of that?

We could hire it and have a big convention of ABers :)
Some idea here
More details are required to give a definitive answer. A football match could cost from £250,000 up to £750,000. For clubs this is a small sum, when you consider 96,000 will be paying up to £250 a seat. The Stadium will also take around 10% from all receipts.

Musical festivals would cost around the same.

More details would be required for a reliable quote.

Hope this helps.

I suspect the band would have got plenty. They can always go somewhere else; it's not so easy for the stadium to rent itself out, so if I'm right that would make it a buyers' market.

i wonder if that price incledes all the security, "ushers" for want of a better word, setting up the stage and sound etc
^ So remember in addition to the hire cost, Wembley takes 10% of all the ticket sales , so 80,000 x 50 x 0.1 =£400,000 plus the hire fee
You would be lucky to get change out of £1 million! Then you have to pay the staff and security ! probably another £500,000 !
No my first answer figures are just the venue hire. The hirer is responsible for all staff , security and other costs. They have to pay the Policing cost as well as stewards and guards .
