Apparently it is a controversial theory in Turkey so has been taken out of the curriculum.

Huderon....the difficulty with that is there no such thing as a soul.
Mikey, how do you know that?
If you have to argue with a creationist who refuses to believe in creationism, start talking about viruses. Especially influenza. That virus has evolved so many times ( notably Spanish flu, bird flu, etc) and so quickly that it is now a global threat. According to very recent science, ( this month) the influenza virus is only two changes away from becoming a new and lethal pandemic. You can choose to believe that those changes will not happen, because after all, evolution is a mad scientist's fairytale, isn't it, or that they will, and you had better accept all the vaccines you are offered in the hope of dodging it.
OOPs sorry, I meant a creationist who refuses to believe in evolution, of course
Perlease!
Mikey, I didn't say that humans do have souls. I was just pointing out that at least one religion wouldn't collapse if the biblical version of how life started was dismissed.
I agree that we don't agree, if that helps :/
Jim, thank you. It does.
All religions are scams to control the ants - more or less sophisticated forms of JuJu.
Some years ago Bishop Jenkins of Durham (Number 3) expressed doubts about miracles and resurrection etc. and faced a barrage of criticism and petitions for his removal from his very own ants...
Atlanta, many will tell you that they have little issue with a species changing slightly over time, it's the idea of one species becoming a different one they are less accepting of. So the virus thing may not achieve what you hoped.
Faced with irrefutable evidence, mainstream religions have learnt to accept that it’s futile to deny evolution in everything except man. There it digs its heels in. Man was created by God - that’s what their books say - and therefore that’s all there is to it.
To O.G - I am not a US city, but a mythological princess who could run faster than the wind. 4 syllables
...and a weakness for bling as i recall.
OG had Georgia on his mind.
