Chap commenting that it costs £230,000 to raise a child, looks at the photos of his children, raises his coffee mug and says Thanks for the mug. Doesn't sound funny like that but it was his expression that made it. I have simple tastes!

Ah I do recall catching that one, once. Nationwide was it, well that made an impression on me then. I was raised with the impression that mothers felt awful if their kid didn't mark Mother's Day, but that fathers were more realistic and didn't care much. So it didn't really ring true. (I reckon it's all just another commercial event anyway.)
