Just found this on a news channel. The person who reported her used the 999 system. not a good use of the system.

Bless you for your support as I battle with the literal wing of the Answerbank huff n puff party. :)

Together we'll crack them, one disbelieving eyebrow at a time.
sozza Nigh you werent whining then. my sincere apolz
it must indeed have been someone else

Crown immunity is do with sovereign immunity ( coz she's a sov , see ?) which is to do with head of state immunity which is to do with presidential immunity ( president trump is head of state see?) which is to do with immunity and executive order
and ( takes big breath ) is to do with President trump insisting his immigration ban ( or not a ban alternatively) was not subject to review by the courts
(the courts said it was )

and hey I have dragged immigration back in !

apolz again! as my comment is on topic ( crown immunity ) and most of this thread rambles terribly

Gotta set a good example. Public eye, held up as an example by many, and all that.
Peter Pedant, thank you. Apology accepted.

OG, someone else mentioned security, and I wonder if it is, indeed, a security measure. Princess Anne's car was ambushed by a gunman in the Mall, so perhaps in situations where cars are being driven at low speeds along roads lined with onlookers, the security people deem it quicker and easier to remove royals from threatening situations if they're not strapped in.
Not bulletproof then ?
I'd hope the security folk could deal with any attempted kidnap in broad daylight.
naomi, here it used to be and may still be the case that taxi drivers did not have to wear seat belts due to the risk of being hijacked, perhaps it is a security reason for the Royals not to wear a seatbelt.
Have to say though that person really needs to get a life bigtime!
They did.
Sorry Islay, cross posted. ^That was to OG.
it was a passing Taxi driver that saved Princess Anne I recall ?
Just some disgruntled ant Royalist I suspect.

This post was light-hearted when I went to bed last night. I should imagine that, had the Queen been breaking the law, somebody might have mentioned it to her before now.

Don't care who they are royal or not the law is quite clear, if one is driving or a passenger in a moving vehicle a seatbelt must be worn.
But what is the law on a closed road in a State car?
I agree with ymb at 11:07.
