1 year ago the nation declared it's wish to free itself from Tyranny. Many have done their best to thwart the democratic will of the majority, they have failed, the process has started.

What a load of claptrap!
You're absolutely right Tora. The sunlit uplands beckon and only freedom can result.

Oh, wait, Mrs May and her ragbag of chinless toffs are going to be table-ended by Francois, Miguel und Heinrich then sent home to ask the question again or be returned to the 1960s.
But yet to see if it is successful. Best hold off until the day there is a real parting of the ways.
There's are an awful lot of Remainers clamouring to stop, waterdown or hijack the end result so even though we voted out we may not get even a semblance of that.

It will be like Cameron's efforts to get his reforms through. Nothing like what is expected by the majority.

is there an untruth in that statement Islay?
I don't hold out much hope of the people who voted 'Leave' getting what they voted for, so I won't be celebrating just yet, TTT.
TTT if you think being part of the European Union equates to 'Tyranny' you really need help!
Question Author
Yeah I know there is an army of people like Islay who only like democracy when it agrees with them, no doubt they'll do their best to thwart democracy but we have beaten greater foes.
Really TTT is that what you think i am like! OK I bow to your greater knowledge of me!
The EU may not be actually cruel, so tyranny may be an exaggeration, but they excel at unreasonable arbitrary use of power/control over matters that should be nothing to do with them. So not so far away.
Islay

It would seem that quite a few of us on AB have a greater knowledge of you, than you yourself apparently has.
1 year ago today....

Who was that chap, here on AB, who spent the early part of the post-vote results frothing, pouting and moaning because it looked like the Remain vote might have won?

oooo......it's on the tip of my tongue......
Begins with a T ?
OG @ 9:40, they do indeed sometimes overstep the mark but why not just follow the French and ignore the more idiotic or draconian edicts then negotiate any penalties levied away.

Our politicians have much to learn about life outside their cosseted existence in that London.
Was it TGT , Anne

Who the heck is TGT?
I've just got everything crossed that we will eventually get out.
It was the start, we have yet to see what May will do and whether we actually come out. I have my doubts.

I suspect there will be trouble if we don't.
You know full well that's just not British Douglas. Johnny Foreigner trick.
