I first visited Phoenix in September 1992, and it was the hottest place I had been too....well, until we went to Death Valley 2 weeks later !

Arizona is wonderful place to visit, but not in high summer perhaps !

Tesco has cancelled my food delivery today due to a technical problem. Not sure if that is due to a national or local problem.

I hope that it is sorted soon otherwise I may have to actually leave the house and go shopping.

Wolfie...be careful out there !
I will heed your warning and stay indoors. I will have to reschedule my shopping delivery.

I hope wee Willy isn't suffering too much in the heat. My long-haired lady cat is grumpier than ever - and she is normally nasty and vicious.

Willey is quite old now, and really doesn't do much, other than sleep. We both suffered last night though....it was still 20 degrees in the bedroom at midnight.

My 'darling kittens' are 12 at the end of the month. Frankie sometimes acts like a youngster but his sister, Merlin, doesn't do much but sleep and pick fights/pick on her brother.

This is a picture of dog number one (Hutch) from 1980/1981 when he was a puppy http://i68.tinypic.com/23mtuz9.jpg My second boy wasn't quite as muscular but he was a rescue and was a bit of psycho. He was 14 when he died - Willy is such a small boy, he may live a few years yet.

It is very quiet in the flat - I am off to see what the Tiger cubs are up to. Frankie has been working on demolishing an armchair. He has been working on it for about ten years and still has a bit of work to do.

50 degrees C was mine, out at Minas Abbas in Kuwait, the humidity not too bad though.
