No personal experience but a neighbour went there.

It was an organised trip and Ernest Shackleton's granddaughter was part of the group.

He thoroughly enjoyed the trip.

If you want to know any specifics I can ask him.

There's a booklet from Hurtigruten in this morning's paper, prices from about £6500 including flights, a lot of the trip is down the Chilean coast then onto the Antarctic peninsula. We were surprised that Antarctica came so far North, the trips are all outside the Circle, I didn't realise the extent of Antarctica. We're looking at doing it maybe next year.
