What Is The Most Annoying Thing That Has Happened To You On Your Visit To The Supermarket?

Recently a woman in front of me in the checkout had purchased a broom and insisted that she placed it on the entire length of the conveyor belt, and placed the next customer sign at the broom handles end.

She got into a hissy fit when I suggested that she held the brush upright so that my wife and I could place our extensive amount of goods on what would then have been an empty conveyor belt.

....we had someone stood at an instant photo kiosk for 20 minutes because they thought it was a self service till....
Hi Ducksie, I love travelling round the 26 counties and going by all those rivers (and of course visiting the supermarkets) hope to go on the Shannon Erne river cruise next month.
Happy shopping.
It's a long time since I heard the derogatory word 'besom' to describe a woman. 'Old Faggot' was another term before its transatlantic meaning became known.
People who just stand staring at a certain shelf, don't pick anything up to look at it or put anything in their trolleys, just stand there barely moving and it's always where I want to get something from ! I said 'excuse me' very politely to a woman once so I could reach my purchase and boy did she glare at me ..
those who insist on chatting away whilst i am waiting to put the goods on the conveyor belt, as happened this morning, the bloke wasn't in any hurry but my basket was getting heavier by the minute,
oh, hereIam, I know that feeling. The folk who don't understand.
Once was met with 'can I get past?' to which I replied 'I don't know, can you?'
(I was in a mood)
Poorclare, you'll love that cruise on the Shannon, my brother has a boat over there and he just loves getting away as much as he can and taking the boat out on the shannon, never a dull moment and he always has wonderful tales and great pics to show of his travels along it, very peaceful - have a great time when you go
and she said -" if I held it crossways it would decapitate anyone in a wheel chair who er was doing a runner - you dopehead ! "

and you said: madam perish the thought ! I live in past age where people in wheelchairs had servants to push them - self propulsion was thing of the future - as for thieving I will have to re read Dickens for that one

and she went like: ........ you so old - you arent your own mummy are you ? you look like that tootn....

Check out rage is well described
someone was stabbed by a mad lady ( madder than anyone you encounter here AOG - and AB isnt exactly the standard for sanity) who chanted as she stuck the knife in:
Nine items Nine items you had more than that !

gives you some idea what had upset her
( Land of the Free of course)

I am compelled ( you can guess the diagnosis) to boop along with the cash register
I usually have a keeper
I am quite a good booper so the cashier doesnt know sometimes if it is me or a machine malfunction. Only a few will serve me

o I am half blind as well and have to cling to things
( a bit like a booping James VI and I in er the 21 st century)
PP// AB isnt exactly the standard for sanity//

Too right, PP :))
// said 'excuse me' very politely to a woman once so I could reach my purchase and boy did she glare at me ..//

the alternative is to wait quietly at a distance
and get a load of mouth on the grounds you are staring and or stalking

they arent mollified in ANY way when I offer
I am an OAP - I can spend all day at this !

shopping not stalking of course
