Just watching Sky News and a female reporter outside 10 Downing Street doesn't seem able to finish her words properly. She missed off the 'g' on all words ending in 'ing ' I didn't catch her name. It was really noticeable.

Yes, helly, she's on right now and I agree she's awful - her name is Beth Rigby. No wonder I never normally watch Sky. We're not the only ones who find her voice gratin' and annoyin' : http://scottgronmark.blogspot.co.uk/2017/03/it-aint-what-sky-pol-corr-beth-rigby.html You can even listen to her on this link - if you can bear it!

Predictive text again - Reporter, sorry
She's called Beth somebody and drives me nuts. Been on a while. Bad example.
At least she didn't put a 'k' on instead, i.e. anythink, somethink!
She probably went to the same school as the traffic reporters on radio 2 who constantly refer to a road as 'A twenny-one'.

ladybirder
you mean like simon cowell :-)
Just listened to the link - god isn't it irritating!
It didn't register with me and I thought that she had a clear, strong and an ideal voice for a reporter.
Drives me to distraction, I'll stick with BBC news.
Why don't we do something about it? Joint letter or something similar?
I am writin' a letter to my MP right now, askin' her to do somethin' about this aggravatin' woman.
When I see the words Sky News I just thing Ron Burgundy and more graphics.
Sqad, I reckon you need your ears syringin' if you think her voice is ideal for a reporter

Thanks for all the comments and for identifying the lady in question. I often watch Sky news (haven't got Sky btw, it's on Freeview), and I think they sometimes are more informative than the BBC, not always, I hasten to add. I switch between 130(BBC) and 132(Sky). I do think she sets a dreadful example, particularly to the young people, some of whom do speak quite badly. I would sign a letter to Sky if someone else would write it!
Helly - how come you're watching BBC News on 130, and not the HD channel 107?
Strange. I get BBC News on channel 80.
Gina Gigglesgong - better know as 'ina ileson.;
Eh?
