Welwyn or Digswell for the viaduct? Seems both names are used
But still good fun to solve and . . . we encountered another "hamlet."

Given the 5000 navvies and 5 million bricks involved in its construction, the viaduct appears aptly named. Curious though that the "celeb" invited to open it was clearly "not amused?" Her actions on that day suggested she may have preferred the much lower altitude of last week's "dear old estate" on the Norfolk plain. She did get about a bit, though?

I wonder if the puzzler played the part of Lexy in the actual play or maybe he was consigned to the other Rev Role?

Nice literary lift at the end, I thought? "Hi yih, yippity-yap" - right out of the prose. Reminded me of some of George's dialogue in Blackadder 3 and 4.
