If I were a Labour supporter (which I am not) I would ask May tonight:
"Prime Minister. Many of the people in this country on Disability Living Allowance are blind, limbless or terminally ill. By what twisted morality can you possibly justify significantly cutting their income? Other suggestions - to May or Corbyn?

Sturgeon mentioned this £30 per week cut in her speech this morning, though said it the cut was to ESA. As many are on both DLA and ESA this might be where the confusion might be. Either way, those on both are handing their motability vehicles back because of the cut and I believe you can only use Motability if you are on DLA.

Khandro: Trust you're not referring to my contributions. The £30 a week cut to ESA/DLA is a fact.
Just like baldric at 19:53 I know exactly where my vote is going as well and not to the pensioner basher !!
in the last few days, the gap between the Tories and Labour has got wider.
^^ Good news!
I keep reading this thing about Mrs May ‘bashing’ pensioners and I really don’t understand it. Currently homes are required to be sold in order to pay care costs before the subject has died, often leaving nothing for anyone to inherit, whereas under the proposed new rules property will not be required to be sold until after the owner has died. The cost of the care they received will then be taken from the estate, leaving a minimum if £100,000 for the beneficiaries to inherit, and the care costs will be capped, so in many instances there will be far more than £100,000 left over. Those with less than £100,000 to their name will pay nothing. Furthermore, it is proposed, quite rightly, to stop paying a winter fuel allowance to wealthier pensioners, but the poorer people won’t suffer in either instance so what’s the problem?

Naomi24: Quite agree but Tories handled it terribly. No cap in manifesto or launch.
Scooping, That was a mistake - but they'll rectify it.
