Hello there - I have seen the answers given to three questions from this Quiz and would appreciate it if someone could explain the 'Estuary Girl' connection to the answer 'Plumber'. I can see the 'Fruity' connection with Plum but not the rest of it. I agree that Photographer could be the answer to that one clue (the 1960s David Bailey photographer film name) but also wondered about the word Demolitioner for this one too.

I also have a few questions myself:-
Spinnaker, male (8 letters) : He and his friends sing with a clear throat (9 letters)
I have 'sort of' answers for those two above but not sure of them.

The following clues I have absolutely no idea as to the answers:-
Meet and Greet (12 letters) : Metal pole and a young lady (7 letters)

Or perhaps I am just thick!

Thanks for any help.

Thank you 'mallyh' and Toorak' for your answers. I like Barmaid and Receptionist - told you I was thick! One of my 'sort of' answers was Salesman so I am pleased someone else agrees, took me a long time to get there though. I tried to make both of you the best answer but apparently I can only select one of them. I hope someone is able to come up with the rest of the answers. Thanks again.
Plum 'er - in Estuary English the 'H' would be dropped from Her (girl)
keep thinking he and his friends etc ..something to do with barbershop quartet?

Hello 'Calibax' - you are probably right in your explanation of 'Her' with the 'H' dropped as in cockney/estuary English. Thanks for that.

More on 'plumber' as the correct answer. I did wonder if it could be a combining of the words 'plum' and 'humber' - The Humber is a rather large estuary in the North of England. It would explain the 'B' and perhaps the dropped 'H' is off that word?? Any comments?
I think you're making it too complicated - the 'B' in Plumber is after all silent.

Calibax has it I feel.
Demolitioner isn't a word it would be demolitionist

You are probably right in that I am making it too complicated with Plumber! I am more in favour of Photographer anyway as an answer to that other question but I did look up Demolitioner in my dictionary and it is a valid word. Probably the one more commonly used would be Demolitionist but the other word does exist. Thanks to everyone who has contributed so far.
