I may have misunderstood but i don't forsee a problem with your current employer - they may be pleased to lose you in the circumstances. There is a risk your new employer may change its ind if they seek a medical, health records or a reference

I can't amend typos as cursor won't go back
Sorry I can't understand what you are asking. Can you write in 'standard English'?
What is 'comp' Compensation? Company ?
Carer = Carer or Career ?
For eddie:

I'm a carer and have been 10yrs with same Comp.
I am on longterm absence - work related. Have Anxiety&Depression.
Through Company have been to counsellor& Occupational health.
Can't go back- too much for me.
I'm looking for other jobs and had offer which accepted.
I wrote resignation letter to my Company to terminate my employment forthwith.
I'm anxious as how Comp react,as I'm not going back.
Please Help??

I think.

Thanks for replies. Comp. Short Company.. Carer as in Care Sector.
OK then, as you have been off work for a long time the company will not be worried that you are not going back and will almost certainly let you leave immediately.

I do hope so. Never had to resign before any previous jobs I've had. This will be 1st! Leave Company be huge weight off me.
^ Lets face it what other could they do?
They will probably be relieved that they don't have to dismiss you on capability grounds because some employers have come unstuck with doing that, even when employees have been off sick for a couple of years
